Description

The Statue of Garibaldi in Washington Square Park is dated 1888 and was built a few years after Garibaldi's death. The work of sculptor Giovanni Turini, who also sculpted the statue of Giuseppe Mazzini in Central Park is nothing exceptional and almost goes unnoticed by most, but it is there, and can be a source of pride for Italians.
