Description

State Archaeological Museum Vito Capialbi is located inside the Castle and houses significant finds from the late Hellenistic and Roman period. The Museum is mainly characterized by four sections concerning finds coming from places of worship, archaeological finds from necropolis, materials dating back to the Roman age. Of particular importance is the sword dating back to the thirteenth century B.C. from a Roman necropolis, the Capialbi Coin-Maker, which contains precious Locrian gold coins and a collection of Brettie silver coins dating back to the end of the third century B.C. and the bust of Agrippa.
