Perhaps one of the most unique museums in Iceland – if not on the planet – the Icelandic Phallological Museum, or “penis museum” does pretty much what it says on the tin. Here you can see a vast collection of phalluses that belong to all of Iceland’s mammals. Founded by historian Sigurður Hjartarson, who was given a pizzle (bull‘s penis) when he was a child, the museum spans almost 300 penises – and penile parts – including 55 belonging to different kinds of whale alone, one from a polar bear and even a sample from Homo Sapiens.
