The Museum of Memory and Reception preserves the murals made by Zivi Miller and other Jewish refugees during their stay between 1943 and 1947 in the reception camp of Santa Maria al Bagno. Nardò welcomed refugees from the extermination camps in northern Europe: a Synagogue was set up in Santa Maria al Bagno. In the museum is also preserved the material of the Historical Archive of the Municipality of Nardò, photographic documents and videos.
