Description

The Palazzo Branciforte Museum in Palermo is a unique place where identity and innovation merge. A space where history combines with archaeology, modern and contemporary art, books and the great Italian culinary tradition. Opened to the public in May 2012, the Palace, which covers 5,650 square meters, in addition to housing the Foundation's management offices, offers space and usability to some of the Foundation's prestigious collections. On the ground floor there are the archaeological and majolica collections; on the main floor there are the philatelic and numismatic collections and the sculptures, together with the historical Library that preserves about 50 thousand volumes of the Foundation. From here you can also access the evocative rooms of Monte di Santa Rosalia, a rare example of still existing wooden architectural composition, now destined to host temporary art exhibitions.
