Airbeat One Festival 2022

Come hang out in the airport with other electronic music and EDM fans—fitting, after all. Notable DJs and performers, including David Guetta and Dmitri Vegas, are regulars at this venue.

The festival chooses a major city each year and gets its cues for its theme from the city’s most recognizable landmarks and aesthetic features. In 2022, Italy will be featured, so expect to see several sets and stages designed to look like well-known structures in Italy. What will be the focal point in terms of appearance? Anybody may make speculations.

Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg

Concertgoers in Hamburg may experience new music from established and emerging performers from all over the globe at the annual Reeperbahn Festival. Over 350 events, including concerts, art shows, conferences, and film screenings, take place in and around the St. Pauli neighborhood over four days in September. There is a wide variety of areas to have a good time, from dive pubs and underground clubs to the Imperial Theatre, the Schulmuseum, and even the Cathedral of St. Pauli.

Time Warp DE

The following artists will be performing at the Time Warp DE Festival in 2020: Richie Hawtin, Nina Kraviz, Adam Beyer, Sven Väth, Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, and Seth Troxler. Initiated in early April, Time Warp DE is a precursor to the summer’s worth of techno music. Since its inception in 1994, this festival’s theme has been pushing the boundaries of imagination and originality. Once you include impeccable sound systems and first-rate stage production, you have a celebration on par with the finest in the world.

Hurricane Festival

Two events are going on simultaneously: Hurricane and Southside (both of which will be discussed more below). You’ll find below that this setup has some renown in Germany. This multi-genre, multi-day festival has been rescheduled and has SEEED, Martin Garrix, Kings of Leon, and The Killers as its headliners. Around 130,000 people are entertained at once by a carefully crafted lineup of prominent international and German artists at the two festivals. The program has everything a fan of diversity could want, and there’s room for fresh finds.

Karneval in Cologne

The six-day celebration of Karneval in Cologne, which begins on the Thursday before Valentine’s Day and continues until the Tuesday after the holiday, is like one big costume party. On the first day, the festivities begin with a boisterous street parade through the middle of town, attended by people decked out in crazy costumes and accompanied by music blasting from every bar and brewery in the area. The daytime will be filled with traditional music, dancing, and live performances, while the night will continue with parties and street events.

MAYDAY Dortmund

MAYDAY Dortmund, another electronic behemoth in its 30th year, features a yearly roster of groundbreaking techno and house artists with up-and-coming performers. Presented by I-Motion, the same event organizers behind Nature One, Exodus, Syndicate, and other prominent electronic music festivals, you can trust that they know how to have a good time.

Wurstmarkt in Bad Dürkheim

Over half a million people attend Wurstmarkt on the first and third weekends of September to celebrate wine and wurst, two of Germany’s most well-known commodities (sausage). As early as the 12th century, farmers and winemakers of Bad Dürkheim were selling their wares to pilgrims making their way to Michaelskapelle (St. Michael’s Chapel) as part of this annual folk festival. It has evolved into a modern-day fair with tens of thousands of vendors, amusement rides, fireworks, and wineries. Durkheim Riesenfass, a giant wine barrel with a restaurant within, is a popular place to eat and drink during Wurstmarkt.

Rhein in Flammen in Koblenz

Fireworks and parades of ships light up the night sky along the Rhine during the annual Rhein in Flammen celebration. About 75 lit ships travel the Rhine as part of the event, which runs from May through September each year. Even on dry ground, the nighttime fireworks displays are sure to be a spectacle. Concerts, food and wine festivals, and other activities are held at Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and the Deutsches Eck during Rhein in Flammen in May.

World Club Dome

When it comes to electronic dance music (EDM), World Club Dome is one of Europe’s most significant events. The event turns the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt into the largest club in the world, and it’s packed with excited revelers. The energy is through the roof with the world’s top DJs and mind-bending light shows.

Love Family Park – Open Air Festival

Here, technology plays a central role. FP brings underground genres like harsh techno and EDM to the great outdoors during the summer. Since it’s just a one-day event, there’s no need to waste what may be the best summer techno.
