1. Mamure Castle

Locally known as Mamure Kalesi, lies at the beach east of the town of Anamur in the province of Mersin in Turkey. Although the exact construction date of the castle is uncertain, it is believed to have been built by the Romans either in the 3rd or the 4th century,

This magnificent 14th century BC castle overlooks the town of Afyonkarahisar. Nicknamed the “Black Castle”, it has long been a place of power, an impenetrable fortress.
