The United States is a popular destination for campers since it is home to some of the world’s finest campgrounds. The 2017 North American Camping Report estimates that 13 million families that are more American will go camping this year than last. Millennials now make up 38% of the 75 million avid campers in the nation, and another 51% plan to boost their camping in 2017.

Camping is more exciting when you have a high-end vehicle to set up in. Camping at three of the most well-known locations in the United States is a great way to spend a weekend if you’ve just purchased or are considering purchasing a Class A motor home for sale.

Hidden Valley Campground, Joshua Tree National Park, California

If you want to camp out beneath the stars in the desert among saguaros and cactus, Joshua Tree National Park is the place to go. The park is located between the Colorado Desert and the Mojave Desert, and it is a harsh and attractive camping place, given its name after the slow-growing and twisted Joshua trees that flourish there.

Campers at Hidden Valley Campground are in the middle of the park, near popular hiking and climbing routes, and surrounded by stunning desert scenery. At sunset, when the sky’s hues contrast with the park’s enormous landscape, the campsites and park take on an even more spectacular quality.

Channel Islands National Park – California

Channel Islands National Park is the perfect destination if you’ve ever felt the need for a genuine break from the rest of the world. The park’s limits include five uninhabited islands off the coast of southern California, and getting there takes a little over an hour from Los Angeles by car (not including the time spent on the hired boat).

Campers can stay on any of the five islands, which are usually inhabited by nothing but a variety of natural animals, including seals, dolphins, and seabirds. Camping reservations may be made in advance for any of the five islands’ wilderness campsites, and travel to the islands can be arranged through a private charter operator.

Hither Hills State Park, Montauk, New York

Montauk, on the very end of Long Island and just three hours from New York City, is a popular vacation spot for city dwellers seeking some time in the sun and sand. However, if you’re looking for a great site to camp in New York, go no further than Montauk.

Hither Hills State Park in Montauk is a beautiful place to camp because of its proximity to the coast and its two miles of sandy beach, lake, dunes, and sunrises. Campers in Montauk have their pick of water sports like boating, fishing, and swimming, as well as land pursuits like woods, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, picnics, and campfires, all set against the picturesque background of the nearby shore.
