Questa fantastica Baia nella costa Sud del Gargano, tra Mattinata e Vieste, prende il suo nome dai profumatissimi fiori di zagare.
Le zagare sono i fiori delle spose secondo l’antica usanza dei cavalieri di regalare i fiori d’arancio alle proprie spose per abbellire l’abito da sposa nel giorno delle nozze è stata tramandata nei secoli fino ad oggi.
Zagare o fiori di limone sono infatti i fiori dell'albero di limone, diffusissimo sul Gargano.
Tipici del paesaggio di Baia delle zagare sono anche i suoi due faraglioni che svettano sul mare.
Questi due faraglioni di straordinaria bellezza, emergono infatti da uno splendido mare turchese e cristallino.
I faraglioni di Baia delle Zagare, sono talmente belli e rinomati, che sono diventati uno dei più importanti simboli delle bellezze naturalistiche di tutta la Puglia.
Sono costituiti di candida ed abbagliante pietra bianca, così come le rocce a strapiombo sul mare che racchiudono la Baia delle Zagare.
Uno dei due faraglioni in particolare, colpisce per la sua forma ad arco quasi perfetta.
Esso sembra quasi essere stato scolpito dalle mani di un artista esperto e per questo detto Arco magico.
