Boulevard Ring is one of the main thoroughfares in downtown Moscow, which passes through the dismantled wall of the White City. At the end of the 18th century the city grew up, the wall lost its defensive significance and was dismantled to be replaced by boulevards: Gogol, Nikolsky, Tver, Strastnoy, Petrovski, Rozhdestvensky, Sretenski, Chistoprudniy, Pokrovsky, Yauzsky. The length of the Boulevard Ring is more than 9 km. It looks like a horseshoe, the ends of which reach the Moskva River. The Boulevard Ring, which is a monument of landscape art, is a favorite place of rest and walks of Muscovites.
