2000. aastal lõi Taani skulptor BJ Chrisrn N Chrisrrgaard" geneetiliselt muundatud paradiisi", kummaliselt moondunud olendite sürreaalse sarja, sealhulgas" geneetiliselt muundatud Väike merineitsi", Kopenhaageni kuulsa kuju"Väike merineitsi" uue tõlgenduse.
