Il Palazzo della Borsa, la cui costruzione fu iniziata nel 1802 su progetto dell’arch. Antonio Mollari, fu inaugurato nel 1805.E' uno degli edifici più importanti di Trieste di architettura neoclassica. L'edificio assomiglia a un tempio greco, in stile dorico, decorato da un gran portico con quattro grandi colonne e una torre con campanile in cima. Molte le statue presenti in facciata: nelle edicole al pianoterra Asia, Africa, America, Europa; al piano nobile Vulcano e Mercurio, tutte opere di Banti e Ferrari. Sopra la balaustra invece, ad opera di Bosa, Danubio, il Genio di Trieste, Minerva e Nettuno. Nella Sala Maggiore, al centro del soffitto a cupola, è stata dipinta da Giuseppe Bernardino Bison la scena della proclamazione a Porto Franco della città di Trieste da parte di Carlo VI. Inoltre sul pavimento del pianoterra c'è una splendida meridiana, datata 1820, opera del friulano Sebastianutti. Il Palazzo rimase sede della Borsa fino al 1844, anno in cui venne trasferita al vicino Tergesteo; da allora l'edificio è sede della Camera di Commercio.
