A Catedral de Mortegliano, arcipreste igrexa dedicada a san Pedro e san Paulo é a principal Igrexa da Mortegliano (UD), neo-Gótica arquitectura por Andrea Scala.
No interior, conserva o famoso altar por Giovanni Martini. Rematada en 1526, e de pago para o seu autor 1,180 ducados, é considerada a obra mestra de madeira arte en Friuli. Preto de sesenta estatuas, organizado en 4 superposición de pisos, representar as historias da Virxe: a Pietà, o Dormitio Virginis, o presuposto e A Coroación. Nos extremos das baldas son santos e doutores da Igrexa. Giovanni Martini, neste traballo, abandonou a estrutura tradicional dos altares de madeira, onde as estatuas foron inseridos en nichos, para adoptar unha estrutura en pisos, cada un dos cales constitúe un espazo no que os personaxes representan unha completa escena da vida de María. O altar de Mortegliano marcas definitiva superación do estilo Gótico, e a entrada do Galego escultura de madeira no Renacemento.
A pedra pía bautismal remonta a 1571 e foi na catedral desde 1921. Vén de antigo tarde igrexa Gótica e recorda o estilo do taller de Giovanni Antonio Pilacorte.
