Die Stätte in der Nähe von Nebida stammt aus dem Jahr 1924 und wurde von Bergleuten vollständig von Hand ausgegraben. Es handelte sich nicht um ein echtes Bergwerk, sondern diente dem Transport der in den Masua-Minen gewonnenen Mineralien zum Meer.
Was heute von der Anlage übrig geblieben ist, ist ein Tunnel, der von Masua zu einer steilen Öffnung im Meer führt, von der aus man den Pan di Zucchero bewundern kann, den wunderschönen Stapel, der direkt vor der ehemaligen Mine liegt.
