Königssee Alemaniako Bavaria estatuko Berchtesgadener Land barrutian dagoen hego-ekialdeko muturreko aintzira natural bat da, Austriako mugatik gertu.
Königsseeren izenak literalki "King's Lake" esan nahi du alemanez, eta hona iristean guztiz ulertuko duzu zergatik: dudarik gabe, Alemaniako lekurik ederrenetakoa da, Europakoa ez bada. Alemaniako lakurik sakonena ere bada, 190 metro edo 630 oineko sakoneran sartzen dena. 8 kilometro edo 6 kilometroko luzeran, 30 minutuz oinez laku osoa ikusteko begiratoki eszeniko batera irits zaitezke.
Königssee aintzira bere kolore berde esmeraldarekin eta Berchtesgaden Parke Nazionalaren bihotzean Watzmann mendiaren ekialdeko horma ikaragarriaren magalean kokatuta naturaren benetako maisulanetako bat da.
Ekialdeko Watzmann mendia ia 9000 metrora iristen da aintziraren uhin berde distiratsuen gainetik. Konigssee lakuaren inguruko paisaiak Norvegiako fiordoak ekarri zizkigun gogora.
