Tren Crucero suundub 2850 m kõrguselt Quitost Guayaquili madalikule. Teekonnal läbib see mandri kõige dramaatilisema raja: Nariz del Diablo ehk kuradi nina.

Alates 2013. aastast on marsruuti opereerinud tipptasemel Tren Crucero, mis viib läbi nelja öö marsruute mõlemas suunas. Quito vanalinna 17. sajandi koloniaalfassaadide ja elava Guayaquili suurlinna vahel liigute üle tosina vulkaani, aga ka jõekurude, pilvemetsa, puuviljaistanduste ja rahvuspargi.
