Els mercats de Nadal de Baviera són com a mínim màgics. I el mercat de Nadal de WURZBURG no és menys. De fet, és un dels mercats nadalencs més impressionants d'Alemanya que té lloc davant de l'històric Falkenhaus.
La tradició del mercat de Nadal molt pintoresc de Würzburg es remunta a principis del segle XIX. Els visitants d'arreu del món gaudeixen d'un passeig per 100 parades de fusta, degustant delicioses galetes de Nadal i ametlles rostides mentre prenen el tradicional "Gluehwein", un famós vi negre picant.
Els productes a la venda al mercat de Nadal inclouen joguines de fusta, joies, tes i espècies, decoracions nadalenques tradicionals, espelmes perfumats, ceràmica, brodats i mitjons i guants fets a mà. Per acabar, una quarantena d'artesans exposen les seves mercaderies al pati de l'Ajuntament, decorat festivament, tots els dissabtes i diumenges d'Advent.
