Près de Milan, à Parabiago, se trouve le musée du Bonsaï, qui abrite une précieuse collection de plantes, en premier lieu un ficus millénaire. Outre les espèces végétales, le musée collectionne également des livres anciens sur le monde du bonsaï.
Fondée par Luigi Crespi en 1991, elle est toujours la seule de ce type au monde. Il s'étend sur une superficie d'environ 600 mètres carrés et est idéal pour ceux qui souhaitent se rapprocher de cette culture intéressante : le musée propose diverses informations sur l'histoire du bonsaï et son évolution et expose également des pièces historiques, des collections uniques et de prestigieux vases chinois et japonais des époques Qing, Tokugawa et Meiji.
