Fu eretta nei pressi della chiesa di S. Nicolò, come risulta dalla piantina descrittiva di Ferdinando Fabiani (1694), in occasione della installazione del l’ acquedotto comunale (1887), utilizzando le acque provenienti dalle falde del monte Ascensione, presso la località Polesio. In ghisa, si eleva su un basamento in pietra. La vasca è ottagonale, con ai quattro lati aquile e leoni. Al centro si erge un robusto stelo, reggente una coppa con sopra una figura di donna alata, intrecciata con un serto fiorito da un putto. La figura della donna alata rappresenta la dea Flora (simbolo della Primavera). La fontana è stata fusa in una fonderia francese specializzata in tale lavoro.
