Nacionalni Park Kakadu je največji avstralski nacionalni park, ki pokriva landmass, ki je približno pol manjši od Švice. Park, ki ga upravljajo njihovi domorodni lastniki, ščiti starodavne tradicije in harmonijo naravnega življenja regije. V pokrajini aligator v Avstraliji se nahaja kombinacija obalnih mangrov, nižinskih poplavnih ravnin, peščenjaških hribov in gostih raznolikih gozdov. Prisotna je vrsta življenja živali, vključno z več kot 60 različnimi sesalci in več kot 120 vrstami plazilcev. Nacionalni Park Kakadu je dom ljudi iz Bininj/Munguya že nešteto generacij in ima ključne kulturne znamenitosti, povezane z njihovo dediščino. Več kot polovica Nacionalnega parka Kakadu je Aboriginalna zemlja. Aborigini so več kot 50,000 let okupirali park – njihova kultura naj bi bila najstarejša kultura preživetja na zemlji.
V parku živi 280 vrst ptic, 2.000 rastlinskih vrst in 10,000 krokodilov.
