At about 800 meters above sea level and 4.5 km from the center of the village, at the foot of a spring of water and surrounded by thick vegetation stands the 'Hermitage of St. Erasmus. It is a place of worship of the patron saint; on the top there is a small church and a complex, probably a former convent, now a place of refreshment for visitors. The small church with a rectangular plan and a single nave has a small presbytery with a wrought iron balustrade, on the altar a fresco depicting St. Erasmus in bishop's attire, a statue and numerous votive offerings. In the sacristy there is a memorial stone in memory of the time when some citizens hid the bust of St. Erasmus there to save it from the plundering of the Germans. For centuries this hermitage has been a strong attraction for the population of Roccagorga who climb up here by all means in the month of May. In the past it was part of the mountain route that joined the Abbey of Fossanova to that of Valvisciolo. It is possible to reach the Hermitage of St. Erasmo through a very suggestive path, a route able to join the peak of Roccagorga to the Mount of the Semprevisa, the highest of the Lepini Mountains (1536 mt), through the Mount Erdicheta and the Mount Pizzone, 1339 mt high.
