The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle fascinate everyone with their enchanting blend of nature, culture and art. A variety of multi-sensory stations, atmospheric themed gardens, art pavilions, and specimens from the animal kingdom make these gardens, which are easily accessible on foot from Merano, a varied and fascinating reality. The Touriseum, the Provincial Museum of Tourism, offers an unusual perspective on two centuries of tourism history in Tyrol and Merano. The botanical gardens with their four themed gardens (forest gardens, sun gardens, water gardens, and terrace gardens, as well as the themed gardens on the landscapes of South Tyrol) with 80 different garden landscapes cover a total area of 12 hectares. Here you can also admire the more than 200,000 tulips that bloom in spring and open the garden season on April 1. Then, until the beginning of November, there are countless other botanical beauties to discover.
