Aquavit

Aquavit (also known as akvavit) is a traditional Scandinavian alcoholic beverage, typical in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland. It is a distilled beverage made from grains and potatoes and flavored with herbs and spices, including fennel and cumin. The water used in the production of aquavit must be pure and free of impurities.The word aquavit comes from the Latin aqua vitae, meaning "water of life."
