It is from the Lucanian Apennines that the Bradano torrent rises, whose waters come to life near San Fele (in the locality of Matise) and then flow into the Atella river, known in its widest stretch as the Ofanto-Mare Adriatico river: it is right here, in the most uncontaminated nature, that the San Fele waterfalls were born. Between ancient bridges and characteristic mills, you can enjoy a unique landscape, where uncontaminated nature will welcome and fascinate all those who have decided to venture inside. To visit the San Fele Falls it is important to wear appropriate clothing: the ideal is to bring a raincoat and hiking shoes useful to face the long path that runs along the waters of the river Bradano. For all those who want to complete the entire route of the San Fele Falls you can walk for a total of 8 kilometers, but a very short path (about 300 meters) that allows you to get in just ten minutes to the Falls of San Fele. It is nicknamed "Paradise" for the peace perceived during the walk. The waters of the waterfall flow slowly and, in the warmer period, you can see the draining of the torrent that turns into a well of about six meters.
