Camogli is a beautiful village that overlooks the Paradise Gulf, in the Ligurian Riviera di Levante. The Dragonara Castle is an ancient castle on the sea, built on the rocks overlooking the sea during the period of the Saracen invasions. A few steps away is the pier from which ferries depart for wonderful trips on the sea. Every year on the second Sunday in May there is the Fish Festival, with frying in the Guinness pan. On the first Sunday in August, the Stella Maris Festival is held: in the evening, thousands of small candles are lit and left floating on the waves to pay homage to the Madonna. Here, delicate and delicious salted anchovies are prepared. Between Camogli and Punta Chiappa is the Tonnarella di Camogli, one of the oldest in Italy, one of the few still in operation.
