Capuchin Convent and St. Peter's Church

On October 23, 1566, the Capuchin Franciscan friars arrived in Ferrandina, but the precariousness of the chosen site soon made the friars' dwelling uninhabitable; therefore, in 1615 they settled in the new convent located on the hill now called precisely "Capuchins." The convent was closed in 1866 and was forfeited to the State Property.

Inside the church one can admire: - an oil on canvas (210x150) depicting the Immaculate Conception and donors made by Pietro Antonio Ferro in the period 1601-1634; - a Madonna with Child and SS. Peter and Francis by the same author painted in the late period (1625);
