Son las más conocidas del Val di Genova, conocido como el valle de las cascadas por la gran abundancia de saltos de agua: las cascadas del Nardis descienden desde Presanella realizando un salto que desde los 921 metros desciende por más de 130 con una pendiente de entre 55 y 65 grados. El valle se caracteriza por las terrazas y las excavaciones producidas por el agua y la formación de glaciares, que hacen que la zona sea especialmente rica en cascadas.
La vaporización del agua al impactar con la roca y el particular ángulo de la luz al atardecer hacen que la cascada sea impresionante a cualquier hora del día.
