The Fortaleza Museum of Contemporary Art is one of the most important contemporary art museums in Brazil. Founded in 1965, the museum is located inside the Centro Dragão do Mar de Arte e Cultura in the city's historic center.The building that houses the museum was designed by Italian architect Giancarlo Palanti, who used a modern, functionalist style.
