The exhibit also introduces technological innovations, many of which are the transition between competition cars and road models. The museum was opened in February 1990, and a new wing was added in October 2004. Ferrari took over management of the museum in 1995. The total area is now 2,500 square meters, and the annual number of visitors to the museum is about 180,000. The exhibition is mostly a combination of Ferrari road and racing cars. Many of these examples have become icons of motoring.
