The JEATH War Museum is a war museum in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, near the famous Kwai River Bridge. The museum is dedicated to the history of the Thai-Burma Railway, also known as the Death Railway because of the high death rate of the forced laborers who built it during World War II.JEATH stands for Japan, England, Australia, America, Thailand and Holland in Italian, representing the nationalities of the prisoners of war who were forced to work on the railway.The museum includes a reconstruction of the bamboo huts used to house the prisoners during the construction of the railroad, complete with personal items, photographs and paintings made by the POWs.
