Kaiserviglia u Bad Ischlu bila je ljetna rezidencija cara Franza Josipa Sosina i carice Elizabete austrijske, poznate kao Sisi. Palača je izvorno bila vila bidermajer u vlasništvu bečkog javnog bilježnika po imenu Josef August Eltz. 1850.kupio ga je dr. Eduard Mastalier. Nakon zaruka Franza Josipa s princezom Elizabetom od Bavarske 1853.godine, majka Franza Josipa, Princeza Sofija od Bavarske, kupila je vilu kao vjenčani poklon za par.
Sljedećih godina vila je preuređena i proširena u neoklasičnom stilu Antonio Legrenzi. Preživjeli središnji dio proširen je prema parku, a izvorno je stražnji dio kuće pretvoren u ulaz s klasičnim stupovima i timpanonom. Izgrađena su dva dodatna krila.
Vila je okružena velikim parkom u engleskom stilu. Arhitektonska cjelina u svom modernom obliku dovršena je 1860. Izgradnja je znatno usporena jer se nije mogla nastaviti u ljetnim mjesecima zbog prisutnosti kraljevske obitelji.
Danas je ljetnikovac dom nadvojvode Marcusa Habsburga, ali nudi i obilaske terena za javnost.
