
The Villa dels Munts is a Roman villa located in the town of Altafulla, a short distance from the city of Tarragona, Spain. This archaeological site dates back to the 3rd century AD and was discovered in 1967 during work on the construction of a swimming pool.The villa consists of a series of buildings arranged around a central courtyard. The villa covers an area of about 1,000 square meters and has several rooms decorated with frescoes and mosaics. Among the most famous mosaics are those depicting hunting scenes, seascapes, and mythological figures.The Villa dels Munts was restored and opened to the public in 2003. It is currently possible to visit the villa and admire its frescoes and mosaics. In addition, the site also houses a small archaeological museum where artifacts found during excavations are displayed.One of the strengths of the Villa dels Munts is its panoramic location, which offers spectacular views of the Mediterranean coast and the surrounding mountains.
