In Sardinia, more precisely in Arbus, there is a museum dedicated to the Sardinian knife. It was created by a famous knife-maker named Paolo Pusceddu and is located near his laboratory. The creator of this strange museum was included in the Guinness Book of Records in 1986 for having created the largest knife in the world, weighing about 80 kilos and with an overall length of just over 3 meters. This record was subsequently beaten by Pusceddu himself, who in 2002 made a switchblade knife almost 5 meters long and weighing 295 kilograms. Inside the museum there is an infinity of products characteristic of the history of Sardinian cutlery: in one of its rooms are housed the oldest products with roots even in the Neolithic age, up to knives made in the sixteenth century and in more recent times. The collection presents true works of art, more unique than rare, with knives of various shapes and colors, intended for the most diverse uses.
