Parádeisos Waterfalls

Almost parallel to Gria Vathra is the path that leads to some of the most beautiful waterfalls on the island, those of Parádeisos. About 500m after Kafeneio Ta Therma, a forest path (100m) leads to a series of pools and waterfalls among the rocks; the highest one makes a 30m drop. It's a landscape reminiscent of The Lord of the Rings, with 600-year-old moss-covered plane trees emerging from the mist onto a carpet of ferns and brackish boulders. The icy waters of the pools are ideal for a dip.
