Pir Ghaib - Pir Ghaib | Secret World Trip Planner

Legend states that Pir Ghaib and Bibi Nani arrived at the area to spread Islam, but were met with hostility by local fire worshippers. This prompted the fire worshipers to send an army to try and stop the pious couple from converting the locals.

In the Bolan Gorge, the siblings split up; Bibi Nani descended into the ravine (her supposed tomb is under a bridge about 15 km downstream) while her brother fled into this arid landscape with the army in hot pursuit.

The ancient people of the Indus Valley believed that the Bolan Gorge was a place of mystical power, and long before Pir Ghaib was venerated there, travelers and traders used to make stops at the sacred spring of the gorge. Legends tell of how Pir Ghaib was able to split the rock wall with his prayers in order to be saved, and to this day Hindus worship him as Mahadeva. This revered site continues to captivate visitors from near and far, many of whom come seeking solace, guidance, and blessing from the powers of the eternal.
