From the entrance of the city and then in the direction of Fertilia-Porto Conte. The Roman bridge can be reached from the Calich pond.
The bridge, situated between Fertilia and Alghero, for millennia allowed the crossing of the confluence between the Calich pond and the sea.
The bridge was an infrastructure of the western Roman road ''a Tibula Sulcis'' which connected the centers of Nure and Carbia and more generally the centers of Nurra with those of Bosano.
It underwent radical restorations during the Middle Ages, but the bases of the Roman age piles remain.
It was originally developed on 24 arches, 10 of which, that is almost all the S half of the bridge, were destroyed in the '30s of the 20th century during the drainage works of the pond.
