Solis Theater

The Solis Theater is one of Uruguay's most important theaters and is located in the city of Montevideo. Opened in 1856, the theater is named after the navigator Juan Díaz de Solis, who explored the region in the 16th century.The Solis Theater was built in the neoclassical style, with a white stone facade and elegant interior.
