Built in 1858 and completed in 1861, it consists of a circular tower that rests on a two-story building in which the farists and their families stay. Located on the promontory, about 40 m high, north of the cape overlooking the Emerald Coast. The property consists of a cylindrical tower rising from a two-story white building where the lodgings of the farists are located. The 18 m high tower is topped by a polygonal flat-glass lantern, with lenticular optics for fixed light varied from splendors of 30s in 30s, with a range of 17 M. covering the maritime sector from Punta Sardegna to Capo Figari, with a single-lamp oil light source. In 1912 it was replaced by a petroleum vapor incandescent plant.
