The Peace Line Mural

The Peace Line Mural is a wall separating the Catholic and Protestant communities in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Construction of the wall was begun in the 1960s, during the Northern Ireland conflict, to separate the two communities and prevent violence.The wall, about 20 feet high and about 21 kilometers long, was erected in stages along the streets separating Catholic and Protestant neighborhoods.
