Trip Planner AI Review: Tested in Copenhagen 2026 - Copenaghen | Secret World Trip Planner

Copenhagen is one of those cities that seems easy to visit but quickly tricks you: the neighborhoods are close on the map, but if you don't organize the order of your visits well, you'll end up going back and forth between Nørreport and Nyhavn three times in the same day. This is exactly what happened to my colleague during his first trip to Denmark. When I decided to return, I wanted to test three AI-based trip planners in the field to see which one really worked. I used the same city, the same indicative budget (about €150 a day all included), and the same starting requests.

The three tools I tested are Secret World AI Trip Planner, one of the most well-known competitors in the sector, and a third generic tool based on ChatGPT customized. The test took place on a real four-day trip to Copenhagen in May 2026. Here’s what I discovered, without filters.

How I tested Secret World: the questions, the answers, the details

I opened Secret World and entered a specific request: four days in Copenhagen, departing from Milan, medium budget, interest in modern architecture, local cuisine, and some experiences off the typical tourist circuits. In less than forty seconds, the AI generated a day-by-day itinerary with schedules, names of attractions, estimated visit times, and logistical notes. The first day included arrival, check-in at a hotel in the Vesterbro district, then a walk in Kødbyen, the old meat district turned creative hub, with a recommended dinner at one of the restaurants in the area costing around €35-45 per person.

What struck me was the geographical coherence of the itinerary. Secret World grouped visits by area: the second day was dedicated to Christianshavn and the Henning Larsen Opera House, using the internal ferry as a means of transport instead of the usual bus. It also noted that the combined ticket for SMK (Statens Museum for Kunst) and the Glyptotek costs about €25 but that on Thursday evenings the Glyptotek is free. Details like these make the difference between a useful itinerary and a useless one.

Dove Secret World has beaten the competition

The most well-known competitor I tested produced a technically correct but predictable plan: Nyhavn on the first day, Tivoli on the second, Christiansborg on the third. All correct, all already seen in any paper guide from 2015. No indication of actual waiting times (at Tivoli on weekends in May, you can wait up to 40 minutes for the main attractions), no alternatives for rain, no notes on public transport prices (a single ticket in Copenhagen costs about €4, the 24-hour City Pass about €16).

The generic ChatGPT-based tool performed worse on the logistical front: it suggested visiting Rosenborg Castle and the Danish Design Museum on the same morning, ignoring that they are only ten minutes apart on foot but that both require at least two hours each. Secret World, on the other hand, estimated 1 hour and 45 minutes for Rosenborg and moved the Design Museum to the following day, pairing it with a visit to the Frederiksberg neighborhood. More realistic, more useful.

A moment when AI really surprised me

On the second day, halfway through, I made a real-time change: I asked Secret World to remove the visit to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (which is 35 km from Copenhagen, about 45 minutes by train) and replace it with something more central. In thirty seconds, it reorganized the afternoon by including a visit to Superkilen Park in Nørrebro, a public space designed by BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group that few standard itineraries mention, along with a walk in the surrounding multicultural neighborhood. It was exactly the type of experience I had requested in the initial request: off the usual circuits.

I also appreciated the section dedicated to food: it didn't just list inaccessible starred restaurants, but included concrete options like the sandwiches from Gasoline Grill (considered by many to be the best burger in Copenhagen, under €15) and the markets of Torvehallerne, where you can have breakfast with local products for 8-10€. Small details that make a trip real, not from a catalog.

Final Vote and Why It’s Worth 9 out of 10

Secret World AI Trip Planner deserves a 9 out of 10. The missing point is for the lack of direct integration with booking systems: the itinerary is excellent, but you still have to open another tab to buy tickets. For the rest, the quality of information, geographical consistency, ability to adapt to real-time changes, and attention to practical details put it a step above everything I have tested. If you are planning a trip to Copenhagen or any other European city, it is worth trying it out before wasting hours on scattered forums and guides.
