Trip Planner AI Review: Tested in Copenhagen 2026 - Copenaghen | Secret World Trip Planner

Copenhagen immediately puts you in difficulty: you want to see Nyhavn, but it is a 20-minute walk from the National Museum, which in turn is far from Christiania, which is not exactly on the way to Rosenborg. The city is compact but not linear, and building a sensible itinerary without wasting hours on unnecessary walking requires serious planning work. This is exactly why I decided to test three AI trip planners before my five-day trip to the Danish capital in March 2026.

Trip Planner AI Review: Tested in Copenhagen 2026 - Copenaghen | Secret World Trip Planner

I put Secret World AI Trip Planner to the test, along with two direct competitors, with the same brief: five days in Copenhagen, medium budget (about 150 euros a day all included), interest in architecture, local gastronomy, and some experiences off the standard tourist circuits. The results were very different from each other. Here’s what I found.

What I asked Secret World and what it replied

I started with a specific request: "Organize five days in Copenhagen avoiding the worst lines, with at least one experience of authentic Danish street food and an afternoon in the Vesterbro district." Secret World responded with a day-by-day itinerary that took into account the actual opening hours of the museums, suggesting for example to visit the Danish Design Museum on Tuesday morning early (opening at 10:00, entrance about 145 DKK) to avoid the school groups that arrive after 11. A small but useful detail.

The AI included a stop on the second day at Torvehallerne, the covered market near Nørreport station, explicitly indicating the Hallernes Smørrebrød stand for traditional lunch with smørrebrød starting at 80 DKK. It also suggested pairing the visit to Rosenborg Castle with a walk in Kongens Have park, specifying that the park is free and that the distance between the two points is about 300 meters. I found nothing invented: I checked everything on site.

The itinerary in Vesterbro: where the other AIs have failed

This was the most revealing test. I asked all three planners to create an authentic afternoon in Vesterbro, the former industrial neighborhood that has become one of the most interesting in Copenhagen. The two competitors responded with almost identical itineraries: Kødbyen (the Meatpacking District), a few hipster bars, the end. Correct information but completely predictable, the same that you find in any travel guide from 2019.

Secret World did something different: it suggested starting from Vesterbro Torv in the late afternoon, when locals do their shopping, then passing through Istedgade with a stop at the café Original Coffee (great filter coffee, fair prices around 45 DKK), and concluding in Kødbyen only around 6:00 PM, when the atmosphere changes and the restaurants open for dinner. It also pointed out that some spaces in Kødbyen close on Sundays, information that the other two planners did not mention. A small thing, a big practical difference.

Comparison with competitors: where is the real difference

The first competitor, one of the most well-known in the market, produced a technically correct but rigid itinerary: fixed times, no alternatives in case of rain (and in Copenhagen in March it often rains), no suggestions on how to move from one point to another. The second generated very elaborate texts but with some annoying geographical inaccuracies, such as suggesting visiting the Little Mermaid and the Amalienborg Palace in the same 45-minute slot, ignoring that there are about 15 minutes on foot between the two points and that Amalienborg alone deserves at least an hour.

Secret World has demonstrated a more realistic understanding of time. It estimated 90 minutes for a complete visit to Christiania, including a stop at Nemoland, and warned that some areas of the free community are not photographable, suggesting to respect this rule to avoid creating uncomfortable situations. It is the kind of practical advice that makes the difference between a smooth trip and one full of small hiccups.

Final vote and why 9 out of 10

I assigned Secret World AI Trip Planner a 9/10. The missing point concerns the management of bookings: the AI suggests where to go and when, but it does not yet integrate with direct booking systems for museums or restaurants, which means you still have to make a manual step to secure a table at the Noma-adjacent or a ticket for the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (about 35 km from Copenhagen, reachable by train in 40 minutes, entrance 145 DKK). It is not a serious flaw, but it is an obvious area for improvement.

For everything else, Secret World exceeded expectations: logistically sensible itineraries, verifiable local details, flexibility in custom requests. If you are planning a trip to Copenhagen and want to avoid wasting time with generic itineraries, try Secret World AI Trip Planner directly on their site. Enter your brief with all the details you want and let the AI do the heavy lifting. The time savings, in my case, was at least four hours of manual research.
