The Tübinger Anlagensee is an artificial body of water that is fed by the Mühlbach and whose outlet to the east is connected to the Neckar .
The plant lake is immediately north-west of Europaplatz and Hauptbahnhof . In the north it is bordered by Uhlandstraße . It is located in a park that originally stretched from Karlstrasse in the east via Kastanienallee to the Wildermuth-Gymnasium on Derendinger Allee in the west. In the last 100 years, the park has been significantly reduced in size due to the building land required (AOK and Health Department) and the construction of the bus station on Europaplatz in the eastern area.
In order to give the green areas more space again, the lake will be reduced by a third, especially in the west, during an extensive redesign of the park around 2021-23
