Top of the World
Also known as Friedhof Fluntern, the Fluntern Cemetery is located in the Zürichberg district of Zürich. It has a peaceful, reverent atmosphere with many impressive sculptures and family crypts. There are several graves that bring tourists flocking to this quiet section of town. James Joyce, Nobel Prize winner Elias Canetti, and Heidi author Johanna Spiri, are all buried here. Besides the historical value of this site, the serene surroundings and well-tended grounds make the cemetery an interesting place to visit.
