Ovo je tipična kuća u stilu atrija, iako prilično manja u poređenju sa drugim grandioznim stanovima. Ime dolazi iz mozaik amblema u tablinum, prikazuju scene pozorišne probe od strane Hora satira, sada u Napulj Arheološki muzej, zajedno sa drugim slikama Admetus i Alcestis i epizode iz Ilijade: sve što su preostali su one oecus (dnevni boravak) prikazuju Ariadne napuštena od strane Tezej i gnijezdo kerubina. Na ulazu u kuću je poznati mozaik sa okovanim psom i porukom pećina CANEM (Čuvajte se psa), tipično za druge stanove u Pompejima:ovo upozorenje se takođe podsjeća u književnim izvorima, kao što je u zabavnoj epizodi Petroniusovog Satirikona, u kojem se protagonista plaši na smrt velikog obojenog psa.Ovo je kuća, u to vrijeme tek otkrivena (1824-1825), koja je poslužila kao model za dom Glauka u romanu E. Bulwera Lyttona, posljednjih dana Pompeja (1834)
