Pilzone

It was a decent industrial center until the nineteenth century. There was a cotton spinning and twisting factory and limestone quarries for hydraulic lime known as Palazzolo Lime, where it was produced. The small lakeside town of Pilzone historically belonged to the quadra of Iseo. It was founded as a small hamlet (il borgo di pulcion), in medieval times, and named after the nobleman who ruled the fields in the area.
