Pomposa Abbey was built around the seventh century സഹിതം Romea road, between Rome and Ravenna.
It reached the maximum സാമ്പത്തിക, സാംസ്കാരിക, ആത്മീയ വികാസം in the ഇലവന് century, to which belong the atrium of the church, from the ലളിതമായ വാസ്തുവിദ്യ decorated with lopo bands and വൃത്താകൃതിയിലുള്ള പ്രതിബന്ധങ്ങളിൽ, ബെൽ ടവർ (1063).
ആശ്രമം experienced a decline, until the abandonment of the മങ്ക്സ് in the പ്രേയസിയോട് നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ, but the FOURTEENTH century, shows evidence of great quality: the frescoes of the Church, തുടങ്ങി in 1351 by Vitale da Bologna, ആ Capitular ഹാൾ (മുമ്പ് 1310), and those of the Refectory, which is ascribed to പീറ്റ്റോ da Rimini (1320 ca.).
