RespirArt, one of the highest art parks in the world - Tesero | Secret World Trip Planner

RespirArt is one of the highest art parks in the world. It winds its way between 2,000 and 2,200 metres above sea level in Pampeago, in Val di Fiemme, in the Dolomites of Trentino. Born from a project of the journalist and art curator Beatrice Calamari and the artist Marco Nones, it accompanies the discovery of art installations along a ring-shaped path of three kilometers. The works, created by internationally renowned artists, dialogue with the Dolomite peaks of the Latemar, which have been declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Every summer, concerts and literary encounters are organised in the Latemar Open Air Theatre, opposite the Chalet Caserina, and new art installations appear. The philosophy of the park is that works of art should be "let go" into nature. This creative gesture invites us to rely on changes and, therefore, on life itself, which is continually changing. The atmospheric agents do not ruin the works, on the contrary, they complete them, shaping them and changing their colours. RespirArt invites you to relax in the continuous mutability of nature. Its works allow you to rediscover the sense of wonder, taking the new as an unrepeatable opportunity. The loop trail is about 3 km long and has short uphill and steep downhill sections, as it runs between altitudes of 2,000 and 2,200. Non-slip shoes are recommended. Maximum respect for the natural environment is required, so hikers are advised not to leave rubbish along the way and not to strike or damage the works of art. The Art Park is always open and accessible to everyone free of charge, from spring to autumn. In winter, some of the works overlook the Agnello slope, offering skiers unexpected glimpses of art.

It was created by journalist and art curator Beatrice Calamari and artist Marco Nones as a unique space where contemporary art installations interact with the stunning UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site of the Latemar peaks.
The loop trail is approximately 3 kilometres long with varying elevation changes between 2,000 and 2,200 metres, featuring short uphill sections and steeper downhill stretches. Non-slip shoes are strongly recommended due to the terrain and altitude, making it suitable for hikers with moderate fitness levels.

In winter, some art installations overlook the Agnello ski slope, offering skiers unique artistic viewpoints, though access may be more limited during snowy conditions.
RespirArt's philosophy is that artworks should be 'let go' into nature, allowing atmospheric agents like wind, rain, and snow to shape and transform the pieces over time rather than damage them. This approach invites visitors to embrace the continuous change and mutability of nature while rediscovering wonder in life's unrepeatable moments.
RespirArt is completely free to visit year-round, making it an accessible destination for all visitors. You should wear non-slip hiking shoes and respect the natural environment by not leaving rubbish and avoiding any contact with the artworks to preserve them for future visitors.
