It’s well worth climbing the 250 steps to the viewing platform to be rewarded with the view from 50 meters high. It is the oldest parish church in Munich. Its origins date back to the eighth century and it is a Romanesque-Gothic building with a high tower in the facade, called by the inhabitants of Old Peter. The church was almost completely destroyed during World War II. The reconstruction lasted 2000.
