The Viatori Garden in Gorizia is a veritable botanical treasure trove consisting of hundreds of varieties of flowers and plants including rhododendrons, azaleas, lilacs, hydrangeas, peonies, climbing roses, cherry trees, magnolias and more. Created by founder Luciano Viatori in the 1970s, who had a passion for botany and gardening, the garden is now owned by the Viatori Foundation, which is committed to preserving and making this place available to the public.Thanks to the "Isonzo XR" project, carried out with the contribution of Intesa Sanpaolo, the garden is being further enhanced with interventions to expand the botanical collection and innovative technologies. The garden's outdoor pathway now offers an interactive experience: by framing qrcodes along the pathway with your smartphone, you can access detailed information about the plants and their significance. The founder's house, now called "CariGO GREEN Point," offers a multimedia experience with experiential proposals that reveal the history and botanical variety of the garden.The Viatori Garden is located in a privileged position as a large green terrace overlooking the Soča River and the nearby Collio. It is an ideal starting point for exploring an area where nature, culture and history are intertwined. By downloading the "Collio XR" and "Isonzo XR" apps, freely available in stores, you can enjoy a unique experience based on listening to immersive audio and georeferenced storytelling via your smartphone. Interactive maps, virtual and augmented reality offer visitors an unforgettable adventure into the heart of nature, history and legends related to these territories.
