The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is a modern library located in Alexandria, Egypt, built to commemorate the legendary Library of Alexandria, which was one of the largest and most important libraries of antiquity.Opened in 2002, the new Alexandrina Library has become an important cultural center not only for Egypt but for the entire Arab world.
